Voice Realm privacy policy
The short version
Voice Realm saves your realm so it is there when you come back. That saved game is the only data the skill stores. We do not sell or share your data, the skill has no ads, and it currently offers no purchases.
What the skill saves
To run the game, the skill stores your game progress, linked to your Amazon account so Alexa can find your realm on your devices. That includes:
- Your settlement: its name (if you gave it one), tier, buildings, and decorations.
- Your settlers: their names, jobs, specialties, families, and life events, plus your companion dog and its name.
- Your resources, tools, army, research, laws and standing orders, quests, and achievements.
- Your progress through adventures, festivals, expeditions, councils, and your realm’s chronicle — the story the game keeps of your reign.
- Game settings the skill needs, such as where you left an adventure or a council meeting.
This is game data created by playing. It is stored in Amazon’s cloud services as part of how Alexa skills save progress.
What the skill does not collect
- We do not ask for or store your real name, email address, phone number, payment details, or location.
- The skill does not record or store your voice. (See “Your voice and Amazon Alexa” below.)
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers in the skill.
Your voice and Amazon Alexa
When you play, Alexa hears your commands and turns them into text the skill can act on. Voice recordings and their handling are managed by Amazon under Amazon’s own Alexa privacy settings and policies, which you control in the Alexa app — including reviewing and deleting your voice recordings. Earshot Worlds does not receive or store your voice recordings.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your saved game or any personal information with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Your saved game is used only to run your game.
Ads and purchases
Voice Realm contains no advertising. It currently offers no in-skill purchases. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before purchases are offered.
Children
Voice Realm is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The saved data described above is game progress only.
Deleting your saved game
You can delete your saved realm in two ways:
- In the game: say “start over” and confirm. The game asks first, and only deletes when you say yes.
- By email: write to privacy@earshotworlds.com and ask us to delete your Voice Realm data. We will confirm when it is done.
Disabling the skill in the Alexa app stops the skill from accessing your saved game.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date, and material changes will be reflected in the skill’s store listing.
