About Earshot Worlds
A game studio with one rule: if you can hear it and say it, you can play it — completely.
Meet Yasir
Earshot Worlds is the studio of Yasir — known to his community as the Blind Dad. He is a father of three sons, with forty years of lived blind experience and more than seven years in customer service behind him. He knows what it is to be the person the system wasn’t designed for — and he knows exactly how much talent that system misses.
So he builds the other way. His games are designed first for blind players, by a blind designer, and opened to everyone. No adapted afterthoughts, no second-class version: the blind-first design is the design, and it turns out that games built for the ear are games anybody can love — in the kitchen, on a walk, with your hands full of life.
Why blind-first matters
Most “accessible” games begin as pictures and get a voice bolted on. Blind-first design begins with the voice and builds worlds out of words, sound, and consequence. The result is a different kind of depth: places you remember by their sounds, people you know by their voices, and decisions that live entirely in your imagination — the biggest screen there is.
It also means the practical things are done right, every time: everything important is spoken, lists can be answered by number or by name, the game always tells you what you can do next, and nothing you have built is ever taken away from you.
How every Earshot Worlds game is made
- Deep systems, honestly simulated. Economies that move, settlers with real jobs, stars that orbit. The world does its math even when you are not looking.
- Your world is never taken away. Your realm, your life, your voyage is saved as you play and is always there when you return.
- No dead ends. Every setback has a way back — a rescue tow, a Keeper who handles the urgent thing, a choice that can be set aside. You can stumble; you cannot be stranded.
- Grow the making, keep the managing effortless. There is always more to build, craft, and discover — and standing laws, advisors, and good narration carry the chores, so your time goes to the decisions that matter.
- Never pitying, never small. These are full games — kingdoms, lives, and empires — made with the expectation that blind players want exactly what every player wants: a world worth their time.
